You should clearer explain the bug : at which level of the process does
it appear, for which method, what is the error ?
I also work on Mac and did not encounter such problem.

I would say that for Java and Smalltalk, osX is slower than Windows.
Could be a problem of double buffering (double buffer at the hardware
level + double buffer at the virtual machin level) ... ?
Nevertheless, the initialisation window is not so low on my computer.
