Dukunú Molê

A hybrid simulator to support a serious game for participative landscape planning in São Tomé

Pierre Bommel, Christophe Le Page, Anne Dray, Claude Garcia

This hybrid simulator can be used to support a Role-Playing Game (RpG) called "Dukunú Molê".

The design of the game was initially requested by the NGO "BIRDLIFE", with the following starting question:.

How to materialize an action plan that conciliates human needs with the protection of natural resources in the buffer zone of São Tomé?

Sério?

The game was designed and developed with members of Birdlife in association with the LEAF spin-off, the ETH University and the UMR SENS of CIRAD.

The RpG is organized around a game board that represents a hypothetical island (which nevertheless looks like São Tomé!).
