Thanks Nicolas and Francois! It has been proven that mangrove forest can
save people from tsunami. Perhaps a future landscape that accommodates
various stakeholders' interest as well as tsunami-like disasters can be
drawn through companion modelling processes.

I do not see how a modeller could be directly useful for urgent matters. I
know that research is being done of simulations for disaster management such
as how to exit an endangered place, or logistical aspects of rescue. But
this research done to be prepared for the next events.

Also if I understand in the short or medium term there could be negotiations
on the new land-uses in the damaged areas. Companion modelling approach
could be useful, I guess, as an approach among others.

Yes let us know if you any other idea.
