Subject: Complex Systems Modelling: Position available at IRD

Two high level permanent positions (Directeur de Recherche 1ère classe)
are available at IRD (French State Institute of scientific research for
development). One of them adresses the field of complex systems modelling.
Application forms have to be downloaded from

between August 16, 2003 and September 12, 2003. Filled files have to be
sent by post-mail before September 15, 2003. Candidates will be selected
on the basis of the written application + a competitive oral examination
(hold presumably at the end of the year 2003). The selection will be done
by a board of independant examiners appointed by the Institute.
Appointment is pending upon final decision by the IRD executive board.

like to join the IRD Research Unit GEODES (UR079), which is devoted to
applied mathematics and computer modelling of natural and social complex
