The new update I believe corrects the problem with importing ascii files. However, if you do not
want to update your cormas with the patch, and also to correct the problem you have mentioned
about the exporting of the environment into ascii, I suggest that you do the following.
In this email, I have attached a zip file containing 3 ST files namely:
1) String-asArrayOfSubstrings.st
2) String-asArrayOfSubstringsSeparatedBy.st
3) SpaceModel-saveAttributesASCfileParameters.st
The first two is supposed to correct the importing of ascii files and the last one is to correct
the problem with the exporting. Now you have to "file-in" these files into Cormas. Unzip the files
in a directory. Remember the directory/folder which you have unzipped the files to as you need to
navigate to that directory/folder later on. Open VisualWorks. Click on file then click on File
browser, or to be more simple, press F2. The File Browser window appears. On the left box of the
windoe, navigate to the folder where the ST files are located. The upper right box of the window
will now display all the files and folders contained in that folder. For each st file i have
mentioned, do this:
1) select the file
2) press the right button of your mouse then select the command "file-in"
Do steps 1 and 2 for each of the 3 files. If you have already updated your Cormas 2004 to the
latest version, then you only do this for the 3rd file i have mentioned above.
Close the window and save your Cormas2004 image. I hope this solves your problem.
