Dear colleagues of Cormas Forum,
I have problems to visualize a map in format ASC in Cormas. I have followed the SIG-CORMAS tutorial and I am working with ILWIS. Until the moment I have made a map of cover of my study zone in ILWIS and I export it to Cormas in ASC format.
The steps I have made are:
1- I added to the spatial entity called “cell” in the “instance variable name” the attribute “cobertura” (cover)
2- In Instance I added with the right mouse click a Point Of View with this programming:
povNum
self cobertura = 1 ifTrue: [^#bosque]. (forest)
self cobertura = 2 ifTrue: [^#rastojo]. (strubble)
self cobertura = 3 ifTrue: [^#pasto]. (grass)
self cobertura = 5 ifTrue: [^#quema]. (burn zone)
because in my ASC map, 1 correspond to forest, 2 to strubble…
3- When I open the space visualization I put the number of rows and columns of my ASC map, here all it´s ok.
4- Later I import the map, I visualize the name of my map in format ASC and I select it with the attribute “cobertura”.
5- When I continue with the procedure, I select PovNum but I do not visualize anything.
I don't know where is the problem
On the other hand, I need to know which is the maximum size that it allows the grid in number of rows as much as columns
I appreciate your collaboration, sincerely,
Manuela Vieira
