The LEIBNIZ INSTITUTE OF AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN
EUROPE (IAMO) in Halle (Saale), Germany, has several openings for University
graduates and scientists with doctorates to commence work immediately.

 

We are looking for highly motivated graduates and scientists with the
ability to work independently and who are interested in issues relating to
rural areas and to the agricultural and food sector in the countries of the
expanding European Union, in Eastern Europe and in Asia.

 

Qualifications:

 

* an excellent post-graduate degree or doctorate in agricultural economics,
agribusiness, social sciences, business studies and management sciences, or
related disciplines

 

* a very good knowledge and understanding of either econometric methods,
and/or simulation techniques (in

particular agent-based simulation, fuzzy-sets, farm-based modelling,
stakeholder oriented analysis and

modelling techniques)

The work contract is initially limited to a period of three years. Salary
is based on the TV-L with the social

benefits valid for public servants and between 0.5 TV-L (E13 Level 1 or 2)
and TV-L E13/E14 (Levels 3 or 4). We regret that we cannot refund any
application expenses.
