Designing, Implementing and Running
Agent-Based Models for Renewable Resources Management

 

This is to announce a summer school on Designing, Implementing and Running Agent-Based Models for Renewable Resources Management, which will take place at Cirad in Montpellier from September 5-16 2011. All people contacted at this stage are kindly requested to distribute this information to any person potentially interested in attending.
The week after the summer school, the 7th European Social Simulation Association Conference will take place in Montpellier.

Content

During the morning sessions, the principles, methods and technics of the design, implementation and exploration stages will be collectively taught. An existing and well-documented model will be replicated as a practical exercise. Specific points will be addressed according to the expectations and demands of the participants.

The afternoon sessions will be devoted to personal applications: the trainers will support the participants in designing and fine-tuning their own agent-based model.

Tools

Specific time slots will be allocated to teach the graphical language UML as well as the generic platforms Cormas and Mimosa.
